PRML 2025

2025 the 6th International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning (PRML 2025)

June 13–16, 2025 | Chongqing, China (Online + Onsite)

The 6th Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning (PRML 2025) was held in a hybrid mode of online and onsite during June 13–16, 2025 in Chongqing, China. PRML 2025 was co-sponsored by IEEE, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Sichuan University, and supported by Xinjiang University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Tibet University, Wenzhou Medical University, University of Malaya, etc. PRML series aim to provide an interactive forum for computational researchers and scientists to share their findings in this domain and exchange ideas about how to develop new innovative ideas to accelerate the advancement of Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning research. Throughout the conference, participants attended 4 keynote speeches, 5 invited speeches, 8 oral sessions, 1 special session and 1 poster session.

On June 14, 2025, the General Chair, Prof. Qinghua Zhang, Vice President of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, delivered the opening remarks. He extended warm congratulations on the opening of the conference and a warm welcome to all the participants from around the world.

Four keynote speeches were delivered at PRML 2025. Prof. LIM Chee Peng from Swinburne University of Technology, Prof. Yue Zhang from Westlake University, Prof. Shuyin Xia from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Prof. Sheng Huang from Chongqing University shared their latest research work with the audience.

Five invited talks were delivered by Assoc. Prof. Ji Gan, Dr. Yang Wei, Dr. Shenhai Zheng, Assoc. Prof. Tingting Xu, and Dr. Yinli Tian, all from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Their talks covered brain-inspired handwriting interaction, adversarial attacks on image segmentation models, multi-modal medical image analysis, urban space expansion simulation, and artificial intelligence in hepatocellular carcinoma, greatly enriching the academic exchanges of the conference.

8 oral sessions and one poster session were successfully held under the joint efforts of the session chairs and all presenters. They are broadly grouped in topics on “Machine Learning and Intelligent Computing”, “Image Recognition and Optimization Algorithms”, “Modern Information Systems and Signal Processing Technology”, “Visualization Technology and Applications Based on Data Models”, “Lightweight Deep Learning Models and Applications”, “Next Generation Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing”, “Machine Learning Models and Calculations”, and “Statistical Modeling for Secure and Intelligent Image Processing”. Experts and scholars from different countries and regions shared and reported their research results.

At the conclusion of the event, the Best Oral Presentations were selected by the session chairs, who presided over the sessions: Dr. Qi Tian (The 29th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation), Asst. Prof. Xinjie Deng (Deakin University), Assoc. Prof. Ji Gan (Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications), Asst. Prof. Sinan Chen (Kobe University), Dr. Tao Zhou and Dr. Yit Hong Choo (Deakin University). The awardees are:
